Log line (1): Holling gets cold feet and leaves a pregnant Shelly at the altar, while Joel and Maurice try to make a deal with visiting Japanese businessmen to build a resort in Cicely.
Synopsis (1):

Bar owner Holling Vincoeur (John Cullum) proposes to Shelly Tambo (Cynthia Geary) after learning that she is carrying his child. But he gets cold feet just before the ceremony and leaves the bride, Shelly; maid of honor, Maggie; best man, Joel; and a church full of people in shock.

Meanwhile, Joel joins Maurice in wooing a group of Japanese businessmen to build a golf resort in Cicely, after striking a deal with Maurice to include him in as a well-paid "attending physician" at the resort.

Shelly's father, GORMAN TAMBO, 38 (a four-time loser): Establishes Shelly's last name; Uncle Bart & Aunt Louise had to stay at the cannery: middle of salmon run. Shelly left home when she was 14. Holling was born in the Yukon, an only child. Father died at 104, grandfather at 106, mother at 42, grandmother at 44. Chris was ordained via a classified in Rolling Stone.
